Knowing intuitively or objectification through measuring? An experiential experiment

FROM THE PRACTICEGerrits Jans, Marcel - 44–1 (2006)

SUMMARY

In this article attention will be devoted to the subject of objective expliciting of therapeutic practicing. Because the author regrets the seeming tendency of decline in this line of client-centered theory and practice, he has performed a search, by way of analysing and evaluating the course of a workshop (on a congress), for indications whether objective expliciting should be granted anew a solid position in client-centered therapy. The author reasons that these indications can be found indeed, and concludes that measuring and (intuitive) knowing can strenghen each other in such a way that client-centered therapy can be brought on a satisfactory level of Evidence Based Mental Health
