Client-centered Psychotherapy in post¬modern times

SUMMARY

The author argues the connection between psychopathology and the spirit of the age. This relationship is illustrated by the example of the development of the borderline explosion in the sixties and seventies of the last century. The following narcissistic development is also been related to societal parallel-phenomena. The author terminates with some concluding remarks concerning the consequences of this development for person-centered psychotherapy.
