When it comes to short therapy within the client-centered approach of psychotherapy, a client’s low self esteem is not seldom a time consuming impediment. To increase efficiency, the first thing to look for would be a specific group oriented intervention. This essay presents a design for such a group module that is based on the client-centered approach. We describe a few theoretical choices that form the foundation for this module, and pay extensive attention to how it may be put to work. It becomes apparent that the client-centered approach has the right tools at hand to tackle the problem of low self esteem.
