This reflection does not aim for scientific conclusions, but to witness the experiences as a testimony. Furthermore, many findings may have to be treated as preliminary because of the process oriented character of the euthanasia discussion. Only on the long term we will able to draw more definite conclusions. I would also like to add that in the process of writing, new experiences and insights forced themselves upon me in such a way that we will have to approach this article as interpunction in a fast evolving process. In this abridged version three themes are being actualized; the data were not yet updated to current developments.
