In the psychotherapeutic practice is focusing a suitable method for the treatment of adults with the posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In the literature is an omission of a description of the integration of the focusing-oriented psychotherapy within the general three phasesmodel of Janet and Herman which has become a standard for the treatment of the PTSD. This article fills this gap. The specific six phasesmodel of focusing of Gendlin fits exactly within the general three phasesmodel of Janet and Herman for the treatment of PTSD. This psychotherapeutic model has not yet been the object of scientific research.
