In psychotherapeutic practice it has been ascertained that with attachment problems one sees differences in problem behaviour. These differences are such that we can speak of two distinguished (types of) problems. In this article the characteristics of both disorders are described. Subsequently, a separate treatment for each of the problems is presented in which a distinction is made between the treatment of children and of adults. The frame of reference for the methods of treatment is client-centred and has a clearly cognitive component.
The tPeP (Journal Person-centered experiential Psychotherapy) is the scientific journal for Dutch and Flemish psychotherapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists, that work from, or are interested in a client-centered perspective.
